The Tres Cantos City Council has presented the balance of its Employment Training Schools, with a 41% placement rate in the first half of 2026. Of the 54 participants evaluated, 22 are already working and 12 are in selection processes.

In total, 54 people were evaluated, of which 22 are already working and another 12 are still in selection processes, according to data provided by the City Council.
Four schools for high-demand sectors
The programme was structured into four specialised schools, designed to meet the needs of the local business fabric: Commerce and Supermarkets, Logistics, Administration with Artificial Intelligence, and Contact Center. A total of 76 places were offered, and the training was tailored to the profiles most in demand by companies in Tres Cantos and its surroundings.
The Commerce and Supermarkets school has been the most successful, with a 54% job placement rate among the evaluated participants. It is followed by the Administration with Artificial Intelligence school, with a 39% placement rate, which has also generated significant interest among residents due to its focus on qualified profiles.
Meanwhile, the Logistics school achieved a 30% placement rate, while another 30% of its students are still awaiting the outcome of selection processes. In the Contact Center school, all interviews have been conducted and results will be known once hiring concludes.
Local hiring and collaboration with Adecco
The majority of contracts have been signed with local companies, reinforcing the link between municipal training and the business fabric of Tres Cantos. Additionally, thanks to collaboration with Adecco, some candidates have found employment in other locations, thus expanding their job opportunities.
The City Council highlights that only 15% of participants remain unemployed, while it has not been possible to contact the remaining 22% to ascertain their current situation.
“These figures demonstrate that training tailored to the real needs of companies is key to improving the employability of our residents,” municipal sources state.
New editions starting in September
In light of the programme's success, the City Council has announced that in September it will launch new editions of the schools with higher demand and incorporate new training specialties. The aim is to continue improving the employability of residents and respond to the needs of the local business fabric.
Furthermore, the municipal employment programme will be complemented by the incorporation of 10 young people under 30 years old into the Public Employment-Training Programme for Professional Qualification. For ten months, these young individuals will perform administrative support roles in areas such as Secretariat, Libraries, Education, Equality, or the Municipal Archive, gaining professional experience in a real work environment while reinforcing municipal services.
