The Town Hall of Tres Cantos has opened the period for submitting nominations for the 2026 Sports Gala Awards, which will take place on September 25 at the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Centre Theatre.

The deadline to propose candidates for the 2026 Sports Gala Awards is now open in Tres Cantos. Until September 13, athletes, clubs, and entities can submit their achievements through the municipal electronic headquarters.

The gala, which will be held on Friday, September 25 from 20:00 to 22:00 at the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Centre Theatre, will recognise the effort and dedication during the 2025-2026 season. Awards will be presented in eleven categories, including a special award for the city's 35th anniversary.

Eleven categories to reward local talent

The awards cover everything from senior athletes to promising talents, as well as teams, coaches, and entities. Notably, the 35th Anniversary Special Award commemorates the founding of Tres Cantos. Each entity or individual can submit only one nomination per category.

Proposals must include a sports curriculum of maximum one page, focusing on achievements from the 2025-2026 season, although a brief reference to previous years is allowed. Interested parties can consult the complete rules on the Sports Department's website.

How to participate and deadlines

Nominations must be submitted exclusively through the Town Hall's electronic headquarters, using a specific form. The deadline is Sunday, September 13, 2026. Both sports entities and individuals or third parties linked to Tres Cantos sports can submit proposals.

The gala not only rewards performance but also values and support for sports. The 'Support for Sports' category recognises those who contribute from behind the scenes, while 'Best Coach' highlights the educational role.

An event with local history

The 35th Anniversary Special Award is the crowning glory of an edition that celebrates the birth of Tres Cantos. The city, founded in 1991, has seen its sports fabric grow to become a reference in the Community of Madrid.

For residents, the gala is an opportunity to recognise their local idols.

“It is a pride to see how sports unite our municipality,” municipal sources state.
The event is on September 25, and entry is free until capacity is reached.
