The Tres Cantos Town Hall has opened the application period for the Energy Efficiency Plan 2026 grants, with a total budget of €80,000. Applications can be submitted until August 31st electronically.
The grants, which are equally distributed between private homes and homeowners' associations, allow for subsidies of up to 80% of the cost of the actions, with a maximum of €7,000 per applicant. The aim is to promote energy rehabilitation and reduce consumption in the municipality.
Eligible Actions for Homes
Residents of Tres Cantos can apply for grants to replace windows and glazed doors with more thermally efficient ones, improve insulation, install photovoltaic or thermal solar panels, aerothermal systems, LED lighting, or intelligent lighting control systems. The replacement of boilers with more efficient equipment and the installation of charging points for electric vehicles are also included.
“We want Tres Cantos to be a benchmark in sustainability, and these grants are another step towards achieving that,” said the Councillor for the Environment, who encouraged residents to take advantage of this opportunity.
For homeowners' associations, the grants include improving the thermal envelope of buildings, renewable energy installations, renewing lighting in common areas, and actions to promote sustainable mobility, such as creating or adapting spaces for bicycles and personal mobility vehicles.
Deadlines and Requirements
Applications must be submitted electronically through the Town Hall's Electronic Headquarters, in the section 'Energy Efficiency Plan Grants'. The deadline ends on August 31, 2026. All eligible actions must have been executed between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026.
The total budget amounts to €80,000, divided into €40,000 for private homes and another €40,000 for homeowners' associations. The maximum aid per applicant is €7,000, and the subsidisable percentage reaches 80% of the cost of the action.
The Town Hall reminds that these grants are part of the municipality's commitment to energy efficiency and the fight against climate change. In previous editions, demand has exceeded supply, so they recommend submitting applications as soon as possible.
For any questions, interested parties can consult the information available on the municipal website or contact the Environment department. The processing is entirely online, which speeds up resolution times.
With this initiative, Tres Cantos takes another step towards a more sustainable energy model, facilitating residents' home improvements and reducing their energy bills.
