The Pozuelo City Council has confirmed that the holiday does not halt the commercial activity of supermarkets. BM Supermercados has two operational establishments: one at Travesía de Peñalara, 1, and the other at Avenida de Luis García Cereceda, 5, both from 09:00 to 22:00. Alcampo, located at Avenida Juan Pablo XXIII, 10, will be open from 09:15 to 21:30.
Carrefour on Carretera de Boadilla del Monte, km. 1, will be open from 09:00 to 22:00, while Mercadona, at Calle de Peñalara de Aravaca, 15, will operate from 09:00 to 21:30. For those who prefer longer hours, Supercor Express at Avenida de la Comunidad de Madrid, 3, opens from 08:30 to 00:00, being the option with the longest time window.
Other establishments such as Hiper Pozuelo (Calle Sevilla, 5) will open from 10:00 to 21:30, and Supercor (Calle Benito Quemada, 16) from 09:00 to 22:00. Carrefour Express (Calle de Antonio Díaz, 2) and Supermercados La Despensa (Vía de las Dos Castillas, 16) complete the offering with hours from 09:00 to 22:00.
Carmen Festivities: paellas, concerts, and lemonades
July 16 is the main day of the Carmen Festivities, which are celebrated from July 15 to 18. The program includes popular paellas, concerts, lemonades, and activities at the Ferial Prados de Torreón. Despite the festive bustle, supermarkets ensure supplies for those who prefer to cook at home or need last-minute products.

Some establishments close earlier than usual, like Alcampo at 21:30, while others like Supercor Express extend until midnight. However, July 16 is not a day for major openings: larger shopping centres, such as the one on Avenida de Europa, may have reduced hours in their clothing or electronics stores, but the supermarkets on the list operate normally.
Early risers can visit Supercor Express from 08:30, and night owls have the option until 00:00. For the rest, the majority opening hours are from 09:00 to 22:00, sufficient to restock the fridge before the evening concerts. In short, Pozuelo does not run out of shopping even on a holiday.
