Club Ciclista Galapagar has been crowned champion of the paralympic medal table at the Spanish Track Cycling Championship held in Valencia. Eight gold medals and several national titles attest to the success of the Galapagar team.

Club Ciclista Galapagar has delivered a historic performance at the Elite, Under-23 and Paralympic Spanish Track Cycling Championship, held this weekend at the Luis Puig Velodrome in Valencia. The Galapagar team has emerged as the leader of the paralympic medal table, accumulating a total of eight gold medals and establishing itself as one of the leading references in adapted cycling at the national level.

The Galapagar team, consisting of a dozen athletes, has managed to reach the podium in events such as the 200 meters, the kilometre, the individual pursuit, the elimination race, the scratch race, and the team sprint. Among the standout cyclists are Fina Guimarey, Lucía Peña, Melisa Gomiz, Roberto Martínez, Juan de Farago, Jorge Orejón, Roberto Suero, and Saúl Martínez, all of whom are Spanish champions in their respective categories.

Particularly impressive was the performance in the team sprint events, where Club Ciclista Galapagar won gold in both Class C and Class B. These results have allowed the team to position itself above other teams from across Spain, reaffirming the work being done in the club's youth academy and the facilities in the municipality.

The Councillor for Inclusion and Accessibility of the Galapagar City Council, José María Escudero, wanted to congratulate the entire team for their success. The Spanish Track Cycling Championship brought together the best cyclists in the country at the Luis Puig Velodrome in Valencia, one of the reference facilities for this discipline. The participation of Club Ciclista Galapagar has been one of the most numerous and successful, demonstrating the good moment that adapted cycling is experiencing in the Madrid locality.
