The affordable rental promotion of the Vive Plan in Boadilla del Monte exceeds two-thirds of committed occupancy: 349 of the 524 homes already have signed contracts or are in process.
The housing promotion of the Vive Plan in Boadilla del Monte has reached 66% committed occupancy just weeks after the first keys were handed over. Of the 524 homes that make up the complex, 349 already have signed contracts or are pending signature, according to the latest data provided by the Community of Madrid.
The marketing process remains open and allocations continue to occur among applicants who meet the program's requirements. Demand has been massive from the beginning: 6,500 registrations have been received, of which 53% passed the first economic solvency and IPREM filter.
So far, 981 applications have been analysed. Of these, 18% have been denied, 1% corresponds to withdrawals, and 23% have not responded to the requirements posed. In total, 42% of the analysed applications have not continued in the process, allowing new applicants from the list to be incorporated.
Demand is concentrated mainly on the smaller homes. Committed occupancy reaches 82% in one-bedroom flats and 73% in two-bedroom ones, while three-bedroom flats stand at 51% and those adapted for people with reduced mobility at 28%. 64% of the promotion (334 homes) corresponds to one- and two-bedroom types, which explains the accelerated pace of these categories.
The promotion, located on Fray Bartolomé de las Casas street, is the largest project of the Vive Plan delivered to date by the Community of Madrid. The homes are offered for rent at affordable prices and include common areas such as a swimming pool, gym, sports court, children's park, and parking spaces.
The program maintains priority for those who can prove they have resided or worked in Boadilla del Monte for at least the last three years, a criterion aimed at promoting social cohesion in the municipality. For residents who have not yet secured a home, the process remains open: allocations are made in order of the list among applicants who meet the requirements.
The positive reception of this promotion reflects the need for affordable housing in the metropolitan west, where rental prices have skyrocketed in recent years. The Vive Plan, driven by the regional government, aims to bring thousands of homes to the market at prices below those of the market, and Boadilla has become one of the first municipalities to debut these homes.
For those interested who have not yet registered, the recommendation is to stay alert to the calls, as the pace of allocation is constant. The Community of Madrid reminds that the program requires compliance with economic and documentary requirements, and that incomplete applications may be excluded from the process.
Meanwhile, the Boadilla del Monte City Council has expressed satisfaction with the progress of occupancy and hopes that the remaining homes will be allocated in the coming months. The promotion represents relief for many families who until now could not access a rental in the municipality.
The next milestone will be to complete the occupancy of the three-bedroom homes and the adapted ones, which still have availability. The marketing of these types continues to be open, and the pace is expected to be maintained in the coming weeks.
