Six young DJs perform this Friday at the lagoon of Juan Carlos I park to be crowned winners of the municipal training programme. The jury includes Vicente One More Time, Albert Neve and Sergei Rez.

Electronic music will take over the lagoon of Juan Carlos I park in Pinto this Friday. Six young finalists, aged between 14 and 25, will take to a professional stage to showcase what they have learned over the past few weeks in the municipal DJ training programme. The event, open to the public, starts at 20:00 hours and will last until 01:00 in the morning.

The Pinto City Council has organised this contest with the aim of promoting young talent in the field of electronic music. The six finalists, all registered in the municipality, were selected from the 16 young people who began the training programme. During the sessions, they have worked with professional technical equipment and have received lessons in music mixing and DJ techniques.

Luxury jury and professional prizes

The final will feature three leading figures from the national electronic scene: Vicente One More Time, Albert Neve, and Sergei Rez. The three will share the booth with the young aspirants and will evaluate their technique, creativity, and ability to connect with the audience. Each finalist will have 20 minutes to showcase their best repertoire.

The prizes are designed to boost the artistic careers of the winners. The third place will receive Sennheiser HD 25 headphones; the second, a Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 controller; and the winner will take home a professional AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 four-channel controller, a high-level piece of equipment to start in the professional world.

Municipal support for youth culture

The mayor of Pinto, Salomón Aguado, accompanied by councillors Juan Guillermo Padilla and Mario Gutiérrez, visited the finalists last Saturday during the final class before the competition. The City Council highlights that this initiative reinforces the commitment to promoting youth culture and artistic training, offering young people a real opportunity to take their first steps in the professional field.

For the residents of Pinto, the evening will be an opportunity to enjoy live music in an outdoor setting. The lagoon of Juan Carlos I park will become an improvised dance floor where attendees can cheer on the finalists. Admission is free and open until capacity is reached.

The DJ training programme is part of the municipality's youth activities, which aim to provide healthy and educational leisure alternatives. The City Council encourages residents to attend and support local young talents. Who knows if the next big name in Spanish electronic music will emerge from this final. For now, on Friday, the lagoon of Pinto will vibrate to the rhythm of the decks.
