Borja González Rozalén, 34, has won the contest held by the Pinto City Council with a doodle or comic-style work. The poster, in black, white and shades of grey with the title in yellow, blue and red, will be the cover of the August Municipal Magazine and will receive a prize of 500 euros.

The Pinto City Council has already revealed the official image that will announce the Patron Saint Festivals of 2026, which will be celebrated from August 9 to 15 in honour of the Virgen de la Asunción. The winner of the contest is Borja González Rozalén, a 34-year-old local resident who presented a poster with a very personal style, inspired by doodle or comic illustration.

The work, as explained by the author himself, brings together in a single composition some of the most representative moments of the festivals. You can recognise the Town Hall and the Torre de Éboli as heritage icons, as well as the procession, the bull runs, popular stews, the Holi festival, children's inflatables and concerts. All of this is drawn with a dynamic stroke and full of details.

Black, white and a touch of colour

One of the most striking artistic decisions of the winning poster is its colour palette. All the scenes are illustrated exclusively in black, white and shades of grey. According to the author, this choice aims to convey a sense of unity and coexistence, reflecting that all ways of experiencing the festivals have equal prominence.

Against this monochromatic background, the central title stands out strongly, rendered in yellow, blue and red. A contrast that, according to the Culture Department, led by Víctor Alonso, brings light and energy to the official image of the Patron Saint Festivals of Pinto 2026. The winning poster was selected from several proposals submitted to the municipal contest.

A prize and exhibition for the locals

The creator of the poster not only gains the honour of seeing his work displayed throughout the municipality. The contest, organised by the Pinto City Council through the Culture Department, includes a cash prize of 500 euros. Additionally, the design will be the cover of the August Municipal Magazine, which will include the entire festival programme, and will also appear on local billboards.

Residents who wish to closely view the work of Borja González Rozalén and the other participants will be able to do so at an exhibition to be held at the Casa de la Cadena. There, all the works submitted to the contest will be displayed, providing an opportunity to appreciate the different artistic perspectives on the patron saint festivals. The winning poster can already be seen on the municipal website and on the City Council's social media.
