The Móstoles City Council has scheduled flamenco, boleros, mariachis and rock shows for this weekend as part of its Verbena cycle, with events at Parque Coimbra, Plaza de la Cultura and Parque Los Rosales.
Dancer Marta Gálvez opens the weekend's programming on Friday, July 24, at 21:30, with her 'Flamenco Gala' at Parque Coimbra. The artist, who has worked with companies like the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía and choreographers of the stature of María Pagés and Jesús Carmona, will present a show that promises to transport the audience to the heart of flamenco.
On Saturday, July 25, Plaza de la Cultura will host 'Historia de un amor', a concert by the group Simelasé at 21:30, which revisits the most emblematic boleros of yesterday and today, with themes that speak of love, passion, nostalgia and hope. At the same time, Parque Los Rosales will be the stage for the concert of 'The Buyakers', a band from Puertollano that fuses rock, blues, swing, ska and reggae with a carefree style.
On Sunday, July 26, Plaza de la Cultura will dress up in Mexico with 'Mariachi, Experiencia México' at 21:30. The show includes a wide repertoire of traditional Mexican music performed in typical costumes, ideal for enjoying with family outdoors.
The children's programming kicks off on Friday, July 24, at Plaza del Sol in PAU-4, at 21:30, with 'Pasen y vean', a magic show by Argentine Carlos Adriano, known for his eccentric and fun style that combines magic, comedy and circus. On Sunday, July 26, at 11:00, the Puppet Theatre of Finca Liana presents 'Alice in Wonderland', a version of Lewis Carroll's classic by the Hilando Títeres company, where Alice finds herself caught up in a crazy chase after the White Rabbit.
The Móstoles Verbena, organised by the Department of Education and Culture, offers a varied musical and entertainment programme for all audiences during the months of July and August. Residents and visitors can check the complete agenda on the municipal website.
