The agents of the Canine Unit of the Local Police of Torrejón de Ardoz have once again demonstrated their excellence in the field of service dogs by winning two podiums at the third venue of the I Police and Military Canine Guides Conference of Spain, held in Villanueva de la Cañada. The event, which brought together participants from the Armed Forces, Civil Guard, National Police, Autonomous Police, and Local Police from across the country, served to test the skills of the pairs formed by guides and dogs in various modalities.
Agent Jaime López, along with his dog Cholo, achieved second place in the jumping and obstacle category, a result that adds to the third place he had already obtained at the previous venue held in Toledo. This double achievement in two consecutive venues consolidates López as one of the standout guides of the championship.
Additionally, the Canine Unit of Torrejón de Ardoz secured second place by teams in the overall classification of the three modalities of the championship. This result reflects the constant work and preparation of the Torrejón team, which competed against elite units from all over Spain.
Meanwhile, at the XXI Canine Guides Race, also held as part of these conferences, the agents of Torrejón de Ardoz performed notably. Officer Iván Solera Vela, accompanied by his dog Coco, took first place in the Veterans A category. The second place in that same category went to José María Suárez with his dog Haru, thus completing a double victory for the municipality.
