The Móstoles City Council has scheduled a weekend filled with music, dance, and children's theatre as part of its Verbena cycle, with performances in Parque Coimbra, Parque Los Rosales, and Plaza de la Cultura.

The Verbena cycle in Móstoles, promoted by the Department of Education and Culture, offers a varied lineup this weekend that includes a tribute to the group Mocedades, flamenco, magic, and puppetry. The performances will take place from Friday, July 17, to Sunday, July 19, in various outdoor spaces across the municipality.

Germán Morales opens on Friday at Parque Coimbra

The artist Germán Morales, hailing from El Puerto de Santa María, will perform on Friday, July 17, at 21:30 in Parque Coimbra. His show fuses flamenco and Spanish pop, featuring a piano journey through works by authors such as Rocío Jurado, Triana, Manuel Carrasco, and Pablo López. On Saturday, July 18, he will repeat the performance at the same time in Parque Los Rosales.

Morales, who has performed at various Andalusian festivals, brings to Móstoles a repertoire designed for all audiences, combining classic songs with contemporary versions. Admission is free until capacity is reached.

Saturday: tribute to Mocedades in Plaza de la Cultura

On Saturday, July 18, at 21:30, the Plaza de la Cultura will host "¿Dónde estás corazón?", a tribute to the legendary vocal group Mocedades. Musically directed by Javier Ríos and produced by Mariló Salas, the show promises a carefully crafted staging and a high-level vocal performance, featuring the most emblematic songs of the Basque group.

Mocedades, formed in the 1960s, left behind anthems like "Eres tú" and "Tómame o déjame". The tribute revisits their greatest hits in an emotional and participatory format, ideal for remembering songs that marked several generations.

Sunday: flamenco ballet 'Triana' and double children's session

On Sunday, July 19, at 21:30, the company "Triana" will take the stage at Plaza de la Cultura with a performance of ballet, flamenco, and Spanish dance. The group focuses on authenticity and respect for tradition but incorporates elements of modern dance and Latin rhythms, offering a contemporary proposal without losing its identity.

In the morning, at 11:00, the puppet theatre of Finca Liana will present "The Tooth Fairy, the Magical Mouse", performed by the Arte Fusión Títeres company. The story follows Carla, a girl who loses her first tooth and discovers a magical world in the forest with characters like the Caterpillar, Ardi, the Fete Bear, Cloe, and Galli. Additionally, on Friday, Mago Teto will perform in Plaza del Sol of PAU-4 with his show "El afilador", based on a sharpening wheel from the 1930s that he inherited from his ancestors.

With these proposals, the Móstoles City Council completes another week of its summer programming, which extends through July and August with activities for all tastes and ages. Residents and visitors can check the schedules and locations on the municipal website or the council's social media.
