The Department of Festivities of Colmenar Viejo has unveiled the lineup for the Remedios 2026 Concerts, which will take place from August 21 to 23 at the Plaza de Toros ‘La Corredera’. Maldita Nerea, La La Love You, and Camela will headline the free performances.
The Department of Festivities of Colmenar Viejo presented the programming for the Remedios 2026 Concerts this Thursday, which will occur from Friday, August 21, to Sunday, August 23, at the Plaza de Toros ‘La Corredera’. The three performances, starting at 22:00, will be free with capacity control, as reported by the area councillor, Nacho Aceña.
The cycle will kick off on Friday, August 21, with the band Maldita Nerea, one of the most recognised formations in Spanish pop, known for hits like ‘Hecho con tus sueños’ and ‘El secreto de las tortugas’. The group, led by Jorge Ruiz, will deliver a concert full of energy and uplifting lyrics, aimed at a young and family audience.
On Saturday, August 22, it will be the turn of La La Love You, a Madrid-based pop-rock group that has achieved success with songs like ‘El fin del mundo’, one of the most listened to tracks on digital platforms in recent years. Their lively and festive live performance promises a night of good vibes with catchy melodies and a repertoire that invites dancing.
On Sunday, August 23, the lineup will be closed by Camela, the legendary technorumba duo that has been on stage for over thirty years. Dioni and Ángeles will perform their greatest hits, such as ‘Cuando zarpa el amor’ and ‘Sueños inalcanzables’, in a show that fuses electronic beats, synthesizers, and the duo's unmistakable voice. The performance promises to make several generations of Colmenar residents sing and dance.
“We are putting the final touches on the programming for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, and we can already announce that the Remedios Concerts will once again be one of the main attractions of the week leading up to it,” said the councillor for Festivities, Nacho Aceña. “The Plaza de Toros will once again be the main stage, a space we want to turn into a vibrant and lively environment.”
The councillor highlighted the diversity of the lineup: “This year we have very well-known artists within the national scene, and we have worked to make the musical offering as diverse as possible. We want all residents, regardless of their tastes, to find proposals that excite them.”
In addition to the previous concerts, the Patron Saint Festivities in honour of the Virgen de los Remedios will include a performance by the Orquesta Panorama, which will return to Colmenar Viejo on Sunday, August 30. They will perform at the ‘Las Vegas’ esplanade starting at 23:00, with a three-hour show that will combine 160 performances, around twenty musicians and dancers, and a light and fireworks display.
The three concerts at the Plaza de Toros will be free, but access will be limited due to safety reasons, as reported by the Town Hall. Attendees are advised to arrive early to ensure entry.
With this programming, Colmenar Viejo aims to enhance the festive atmosphere of the week leading up to the Patron Saint Festivities, attracting both residents and visitors from other municipalities in the Community of Madrid. The musical offering, which ranges from the most commercial pop to the most traditional technorumba, aims to satisfy all audiences.
