Siloé, Soleá Morente, Malú and Raya Real will provide music to the Community of Madrid in August, with patron saint festivals in various municipalities and the traditional verbenas of the capital.
The musical agenda for August in the Community of Madrid kicks off strongly. Siloé, Soleá Morente, Malú and Raya Real are some of the names that will headline the patron saint and popular festivals in different municipalities across the region, as well as in the capital, which will celebrate the traditional festivals of San Cayetano, San Lorenzo, and La Paloma 2026.
In the city of Madrid, the month will close with The Weeknd, who will perform three concerts on the 28th, 29th, and 30th of August at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, as part of his 'After Hours Til Dawn' tour. The Canadian artist, known for hits like 'Blinding Lights', 'Starboy', and 'Save Your Tears', will thus conclude his European tour.
Before that, the capital will celebrate its verbenas: San Cayetano from August 4 to 7, San Lorenzo from August 8 to 11, and the Virgen de La Paloma from August 13 to 16. These festivities will feature performances by Soleá Morente, Miss Caffeina, and Celtas Cortos. Soleá Morente will perform on August 6 in the Embajadores neighbourhood, at the General Vara del Rey square, where she grew up; two days earlier, on the 4th, it will be the turn of Raya Real, one of the most popular flamenco groups known for sevillanas and rumbas.
A concert dedicated to the 1980s will be held in the plaza de las Vistillas, featuring Modestia Aparte, The Refrescos, and Fernandisco. Miss Caffeina will take the stage on Sunday the 16th, and Celtas Cortos on Thursday the 13th, alongside other traditional proposals.
Siloé will be the star artist at the San Sebastián de los Reyes festivities, which are held in honour of the Most Holy Christ of Remedies. The singer will perform for free on Sunday the 30th at the municipal auditorium, where he will present his fifth album, 'Terrorismo Emocional', and revisit hits like 'Todos los besos', 'Que merezca la pena', and 'Esa estrella'. The local lineup also includes Malú, Cali y el Dandee, and the orchestras Panorama, París de Noia, and La Misión.
In San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the patron saint festivities will take place from Saturday the 8th to Saturday the 15th of August, with performances at the Lonja of the Royal Monastery, the Plaza de la Constitución, and the El Parque venue. Notable acts at the Lonja include Pignoise on Wednesday the 12th, Rosario on Thursday the 13th, and Serko on Friday the 14th, as well as tributes to La Oreja de Van Gogh (Monday the 10th), Michael Jackson (Tuesday the 11th), and a grand pop closing party on the 15th.
Pinto will also have its musical programme from August 8 to 15, in honour of the Virgen de la Asunción. On August 11, Seguridad Social will perform, followed by Funambulista on the 12th, El Arrebato on the 13th, and the Madrid group Sidecars on the 14th.
As summer comes to an end
September will continue with major events. Aitana will perform on September 11, 12, 14, and 15 at the Movistar Arena with her 'Cuarto Azul World Tour', after presenting the album at a 'listening party' in the same venue. The artist kicked off the tour on May 9 in Roquetas de Mar.
Following that, Shakira will arrive with a residency of twelve concerts at the Iberdrola Music space, where the so-called 'Estadio Shakira' will be set up, with a capacity for 50,000 people per day.
