The Real Madrid Foundation and the City Council of Segovia are launching the first edition of a football camp in the city, with 100 spots for children aged 7 to 14.
The Real Madrid Foundation is landing this summer in Segovia with its first football camp in the city. The initiative, presented this Thursday by the Councillor for Sports, Jesús Garrido, and the Foundation's ambassador, Ricardo Gallego, will take place from August 3 to 7 at the municipal sports facilities of Nueva Segovia, in the football fields and the adjacent rooms of the Pedro Delgado Pavilion.
100 Spots for Children Aged 7 to 14
The camp will offer 100 spots for boys and girls aged between 7 and 14, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. During six hours a day, participants will combine age-appropriate football training with educational and leisure activities, all under the methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation, which promotes values such as respect, effort, teamwork, and camaraderie.
The registration fee will be low, thanks to the contribution from the City Council of Segovia. The camp will have a technical coordinator and eight local sports monitors, whose hiring will be managed by the Real Madrid Foundation, which will boost employment in the city.
“This initiative responds to the City Council's commitment to continue expanding the summer sports offer and facilitate family reconciliation during the first week of August, once the twelve municipal camps and other sports disciplines held in July have concluded,” highlighted Jesús Garrido.
A Decade of Collaboration
The launch of this camp marks a milestone in the institutional relationship between the City Council of Segovia and the Real Madrid Foundation, a collaboration that has already surpassed ten years of joint efforts promoting sports and social initiatives in the city. The Councillor for Sports expressed hope that this edition will be well received and be the first of many in the future.
For Segovian families, this camp arrives at a key moment: it covers the first week of August, right after the municipal camps in July, offering an educational and sports leisure alternative for the little ones while parents work. Spots are limited, so those interested should keep an eye on the opening of the registration period, which will be announced soon through the official channels of the City Council.
