The patron saint festivals in the capital fill August with live music at no cost. San Cayetano, San Lorenzo, and La Paloma will feature performances by Celtas Cortos, Miss Caffeina, and others in the centre.
Madrid is preparing for an August where music takes centre stage. The patron saint festivals of San Cayetano, San Lorenzo, and the Virgin of La Paloma will bring dozens of free concerts to the Centro district, featuring names like Celtas Cortos, Miss Caffeina, and Soleá Morente.
The Madrid City Council has confirmed that the three consecutive festivals will take place in the first two weeks of the month. San Cayetano will take place from August 4 to 7, San Lorenzo from August 8 to 11, and La Paloma from August 13 to 16, all in the areas of El Rastro, Lavapiés, and La Latina.
The main stages will host performances every night starting at 21:30. The agenda kicks off on August 4 with Raya Real, continues on the 6th with Soleá Morente, and on the 10th with Metroolé, reaching its peak on the 13th with Celtas Cortos.
On August 14, it will be the turn of the 'Return to the 80s' session, featuring Los Refrescos, Modestia Aparte, and Fernandisco at 21:00. DePol will perform on the 15th, and Miss Caffeina will close the concerts on August 16.
Beyond the central area, the festivals will continue at the end of the month in various municipalities in the region. San Sebastián de los Reyes will celebrate its festivities for the Most Holy Christ of Remedies from August 24 to 31, with concerts by Cali and El Dandee on the 28th and Malú on the 29th.
The cultural offering is complemented by two major cycles. Escenas de Verano 2026, promoted by the Community of Madrid, runs from July 3 to August 30 with over 200 free activities in 164 locations, including 77 concerts in 40 municipalities. Meanwhile, Veranos de la Villa 2026, from July 7 to August 29, will bring shows to venues such as the Conde Duque cultural centre and the IES San Isidro.
Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy these offerings at no cost, with a programme designed for all audiences. For those wishing to plan their attendance, performances in the centre begin at 21:30, and access is free until capacity is reached.
