District IV of Alcalá de Henares repeats its Summer Cinema at the La Galatea Cultural Centre (Espartales) with six free screenings on Fridays and Saturdays in August, from the 7th to the 22nd.
The Municipal Board of District IV of Alcalá de Henares has confirmed a new edition of the Summer Cinema at the La Galatea Cultural Centre, in the Espartales neighbourhood. The initiative, which was well received last year, will offer six free sessions during the month of August.
The screenings will take place every Friday and Saturday at 22:00 hours, featuring a programme that mixes premieres, family films, and adventures. The aim, according to the president of District IV, Antonio Saldaña, is to "bring culture and leisure to the neighbourhoods during the summer months, offering a free and quality programme in an accessible environment for all residents."
The cycle will kick off on Friday, August 7, with Gladiator II, and continue on Saturday, August 8, with The Smurfs, aimed at a young audience. The following weekend, on August 14, Jurassic World: The Rebirth will be screened, and on the 15th, Bambi, a Life in the Forest.
The last week will start on Friday, August 21, with the comedy The Dinner, and will conclude on Saturday, August 22, with Lilo & Stitch, one of the most anticipated family titles of the summer. All sessions are free to access until capacity is reached, and are aimed at residents of all ages.
With this initiative, the district reinforces its summer cultural offerings in an outdoor space, designed for families in Espartales and the rest of the city to enjoy cinema without leaving the neighbourhood.
