The Indian ambassador to Spain, Shri Jayant N. Khobragade, visited the facilities of DYM Impleparts in Arganda del Rey to explore new business opportunities in construction, mining, and spare parts, as part of the Spain-India Dual Year 2026.
The company DYM Impleparts, specialised in spare parts for industrial machinery, was the venue for a high-level diplomatic and business meeting this Thursday in Arganda del Rey. The Indian ambassador to Spain, Shri Jayant N. Khobragade, toured the company's facilities accompanied by a delegation of institutional and business representatives.
The event, framed within the Spain-India Dual Year 2026, also saw the presence of Dr. Priya Jayant, president of the Indian Women's Association (IWA) Spain, the mayor of Arganda del Rey, Alberto Escribano, and several municipal councillors. Representatives from Amaexco, the magazine Potencia, and Interempresas Media also attended.
During the visit, the management team of DYM Impleparts, led by its general manager David Rembado Ruiz and the general director Gunjan Keshwani, showcased the company's technical capabilities as well as its growth in the Spanish market. The meeting focused on identifying synergies in key sectors such as construction, infrastructure, mining, and industrial spare parts.
According to company sources, DYM Impleparts expressed its interest in establishing strategic alliances with leading Indian manufacturers such as BEML Ltd., Tata Hitachi, Action Construction Equipment (ACE), and BKT Tyres. These collaborations could pave the way for the supply of machinery for construction and mining, hydraulic systems, spare parts, and off-the-road (OTR) tyres, contributing to the sustainable development of infrastructure.
The meeting is part of the activities programme for the Spain-India Dual Year 2026, an initiative aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties between both countries. Ambassador Khobragade highlighted the shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and fostering new trade and investment opportunities.
For his part, the mayor of Arganda del Rey, Alberto Escribano, positively valued the visit and emphasised the importance of a local company being at the forefront of such international meetings. “Arganda del Rey is consolidating as an industrial hub open to the world,” he stated.
The day concluded with a networking session among attendees, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and long-term business partnerships between Spanish and Indian companies.
For the residents of the Community of Madrid, this visit represents an opportunity for economic projection for the municipality of Arganda del Rey, which hosts a significant industrial fabric. The potential arrival of Indian investments could generate jobs and energise the machinery and spare parts sector in the area.
DYM Impleparts, founded over a decade ago, has specialised in the import and distribution of spare parts for construction and mining machinery, with clients throughout Spain. The company plans to expand its catalogue with products from Indian manufacturers if the agreements explored during the visit materialise.
The Spain-India Dual Year 2026 includes a calendar of cultural and business events that will take place throughout the year in both countries. This meeting in Arganda del Rey is one of the first milestones of the programme in the Community of Madrid.
