The festivities in honour of the patron saint of Spain kick off this Wednesday in Arganda del Rey with the Triduum and Solemn Services. The main day, July 25, will include mass, a procession, and a performance by the orchestra The Music Show.

The Feast of Saint James the Apostle returns to Arganda del Rey starting this Wednesday, July 22, with a programme that combines religious events and concerts. The local council has organised a schedule that will run until Sunday, July 26, with the central day on Saturday, July 25.

The events begin with the Triduum and Solemn Services, which will be held on Wednesday, July 22, Thursday, July 23, and Friday, July 24 at 19:30 in the Church of San Juan Bautista. These ceremonies spiritually prepare for the feast of the patron saint of Spain.

On Saturday, July 25, the feast day of Saint James the Apostle, a Solemn Mass will take place at 19:30 in the same parish. At the end of the Eucharist, the image of the saint will process through the streets of the municipality. The planned route includes Silos Street, Saint James the Apostle Street, the Plaza de los Bienvenida, and San Juan Street.

As a highlight of the main day, the Plaza de la Constitución will host a popular fair featuring a performance by the orchestra The Music Show. This group, known for its varied repertoire, will entertain the evening following the procession.

The festivities will conclude on Sunday, July 26, with a Mass for the Deceased Brothers, which will be held at 20:00 in the Church of San Juan Bautista. This event wraps up the religious and festive programme in honour of the patron saint.

The residents of Arganda del Rey will be able to enjoy a few days of community and tradition, with special attention to the liturgical events that are the focus of the celebration. The procession on Saturday is one of the most anticipated moments, as it traverses the historic centre of the municipality.

The organisation reminds that access to the religious events is free and that the fair in the main square will be open to all attendees. It is recommended to arrive early to find a spot, especially for the mass and the procession.
