Arganda del Rey faces summer works: crematorium, air conditioning and reform of Carretas theatre

The Arganda del Rey City Council is undertaking several municipal works this summer: the second floor of the crematorium, air conditioning at the Senior Centre, and the reform of Carretas theatre.

The Arganda del Rey City Council is carrying out several municipal actions this summer, including the second floor of the crematorium, air conditioning at the Senior Centre, and the reform of Carretas theatre.

The Arganda del Rey City Council is taking advantage of the summer months to execute a package of municipal works that includes the expansion of the crematorium, improvements to the facilities of the Senior Centre, and the reform of Carretas theatre. The works, already underway or about to begin, aim to prepare public facilities for the upcoming school year and autumn.

One of the most notable actions is the construction of the second floor of the municipal crematorium, an infrastructure that will respond to the growing demand for funeral services in the locality. The works are progressing during the summer to minimise inconvenience to residents.

In the coming days, the air conditioning of the municipal building of APSA, which houses the Senior Centre, will commence. This improvement will allow for temperature regulation of the building throughout the year, a feature especially valued by older users, who will be able to enjoy more comfortable facilities both in summer and winter.

Another planned intervention is the reform of Carretas theatre, a key performance space in the cultural agenda of Arganda del Rey. Although the City Council has not detailed the exact scope of the works, the action aims to prepare the venue for the upcoming season of performances.

The works plan is completed with the reform of the Children's House, as reported by the City Council in a statement. This action adds to the previous ones with the aim of improving municipal educational facilities before the start of the next school year.

With these interventions, the Arganda del Rey City Council aims to take advantage of the summer period, when administrative and civic activity decreases, to carry out works that would otherwise cause greater disruptions to residents. The work schedule has been planned so that most of the actions are completed before autumn.
