The Community of Madrid has adjusted the enrolment deadlines for Vocational Training and the Official Language Schools following the forest fires in the Sierra Oeste. The new calendar starts on September 1.
Students of Vocational Training and the Official Language Schools in the Community of Madrid can now consult the new enrolment calendar, which has been adjusted due to the emergency caused by the forest fires in the Sierra Oeste. The measure aims to ensure that no student is disadvantaged in accessing a place.
In Basic and Intermediate Vocational Training, candidates with a place assigned in the second phase will be able to formalise their enrolment on September 1, 2 and 3. On the 4th, the list of vacancies by educational centre will be published, and on the 7th and 8th, those who were not admitted in July can apply for those places. The new assignments will be announced on September 10, and the enrolment period will remain open from the 11th to the 14th of the same month.
On the other hand, in Higher Vocational Training, the ordinary process for completing the enrolment of students admitted in the first phase will take place on September 1, 2 and 3. On the 7th, the lists for the second phase will be made known, and on the 11th, the available places. Candidates who did not obtain a place can apply for one on the 14th and 15th, while the new assignment will be published on the 17th at the educational centres. The assignment will conclude with the enrolment of students who obtain a place, scheduled from the 18th to the 21st of the same month.
In the Official Language Schools, students of the Update, Improvement and Specialisation courses in Spanish or foreign languages, as well as those who have obtained a place in the second phase to study a language, must formalise this process on September 1, 2 and 3. On the 4th, the vacant places will be assigned, and students can register on the same day.
This new calendar affects all public centres in the region, including those in municipalities such as Alcalá de Henares, Getafe, Móstoles or Las Rozas, where demand for places is usually high. Interested parties can consult all the information on the institutional website of the Community of Madrid.
The responsible department has reminded that these deadlines are definitive and that no further extensions are contemplated, so it recommends that students pay attention to the dates and complete the procedures within the established periods to avoid losing their place.
