Getafe has completed six signings and sold three players for around 11 million euros, in a summer market that started before LaLiga ended.

Getafe has acted swiftly in the summer transfer market of 2026. Before the last season ended, the club had already secured the signing of Martín Satriano. Since then, the sporting management, led by Toni Muñoz, has added five more reinforcements and has earned nearly eleven million euros from the sale of three footballers.

The operations have not been limited to purchases. Getafe has also executed the purchase options for Mario Martín and Sebas Boselli, both loaned out last season. Thus, both players are now tied to the club from the south of Madrid for several seasons.

Zaid Romero, the most expensive operation

The most complex signing has been that of Zaid Romero. The Argentine defender arrived on loan without a purchase option from Brujas, and after a brilliant season, his future seemed far from Getafe. However, the club paid five million euros to the Belgian team to secure his ownership, and Zaid joined the pre-season from day one.

“It was a priority,” club sources stated. The Getafe fans celebrate the continuity of ‘24’, who has become a defensive pillar. The financial effort demonstrates the commitment to maintain the core that achieved European qualification.

Renewal of Bordalás and return of Terrats

Another key move has been the renewal of José Bordalás. The Alicante coach, recently named ‘Adopted Son’ of Getafe, extended his contract for two more seasons. “It was an easy decision,” Bordalás declared at the press conference after signing. His continuity clears up doubts about the sports project.

Additionally, Getafe has secured the arrival of Ramón Terrats, who was already a target in the winter market but could not be finalised. The midfielder has joined before the start of pre-season, just like Valou, another signing that was attempted in January and is now a reality.

For the residents of Getafe, this means that the team maintains its backbone and adds pieces to face the upcoming campaign in LaLiga and European competition. Season ticket holders are optimistically awaiting the start of the season.

Sales that finance the signings

To balance the books, Getafe has sold Luis Milla, Mauro Arambarri, and Coba da Costa. The three transfers have brought in around eleven million euros to the club. The departures of Milla and Arambarri leave a gap in midfield, but the sporting management is confident that the new reinforcements will cover those losses.

The big unknown remains Christantus Uche. The Nigerian, who had little involvement last season, will join the pre-season in the coming days. The club counts on him, unless an offer that satisfies all parties arrives. His market value has decreased compared to the previous year, but Getafe is not in a hurry to sell him.

The Getafe market has not yet closed, but the provisional balance is six signings and 11 million in sales. The Getafe fans, who filled the Coliseum last season, hope the team maintains its level and fights for Europe again.
