The Getafe neighbourhood of El Bercial celebrates its festivities from July 23 to 26 with a wide programme for all audiences. The proclamation will be given by the Recreativo Cultural Nuevo Bercial, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The El Bercial neighbourhood in Getafe is finalising preparations for its Fiestas 2026, which will take place from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26. The programme, designed for all audiences, includes everything from sports and children's events to religious acts, mainly concentrated in the Fairgrounds (plaza de las Trece Rosas), the Chopera Park, and the Airplane Park.
Programme of the El Bercial festivities
Activities will kick off on Thursday, July 23 at 16:00 with the ‘Papakids’ activity, where children can make their own pizza. At 20:30, the Charanga Popular La Amapola will parade through the streets from the Civic Centre, leading to the Opening Party at the Fairgrounds at 21:30 with performances by the Asociación Bohemia, Grupos Casa del Mayor, and Danza Luis Rufo. The night will conclude with a Grand Sangria and Community Snack.
On Friday, July 24, the afternoon will begin at 19:00 with a Foam Party in the Andrés Fernández Lara Park and the opening of the Craft Market. Children will enjoy Cantajuegos at 21:00 and a Family Disco at 22:00. The main event will come at 23:00 with the Festivities Proclamation by the Recreativo Cultural Nuevo Bercial, followed by a Popular Disco Dance. Additionally, the fairgrounds will have an active Violet Point from 22:30 to 03:00.
Saturday, July 25 will be marked by outdoor leisure activities in the Chopera Park, starting at 10:30 with a Zumba Masterclass, followed by workshops and children's activities. At 12:00, the Game of the Frog will take place in the plaza de las Thuyas, and at 14:00 a Community Paella will be served. In the afternoon, after another Foam Party at 19:00, there will be a Solemn Mass and subsequent procession at 20:00. The night will conclude with live music and a DJ session at the fairgrounds.
Activities for Sunday and closing of festivities
Sunday, July 26 will start with sports at 11:00 thanks to the X Bicycle and Skating Party of El Bercial. After the last scheduled Foam Party at 13:30, the closing festivities will feature a children's puppet show at 20:30 and a Summer Cinema session at 22:00 in the Airplane Park.
Getafe residents who want to enjoy these festivities have an unmissable appointment in El Bercial. The organisation recommends arriving early to enjoy the outdoor activities and reminds that the Violet Point will be operational during the night on Friday to ensure a safe environment.

With a tight budget but full of enthusiasm, the El Bercial festivities promise to be a success among the locals. The combination of activities for children, young people, and adults makes this Getafe neighbourhood the epicentre of leisure during those four days in July. Those who come to the plaza de las Trece Rosas will be able to enjoy concerts, dances, and the traditional community paella on Saturday.
