The 2026 Feria Taurina de Los Remedios will be held from August 29 to September 2 in Colmenar Viejo with five events. Alejandro Talavante, Juan Ortega, and Pablo Aguado make up the star lineup for Monday, August 31.
Colmenar Viejo is preparing for a new edition of its Feria Taurina de Los Remedios, which from August 29 to September 2 will turn the Plaza de Toros de La Corredera into the bullfighting epicentre of northern Madrid. The lineup, now confirmed, includes figures such as Alejandro Talavante and Juan Ortega, who will share the stage on Monday 31 with Pablo Aguado to face bulls from Núñez del Cubillo.
Five events featuring novice and established bullfighters
The fair's programme kicks off on August 29 with a novice bullfight with picadors. Novice bullfighters David López, Álvaro Serrano, and Ignacio Garibay will take on cattle from the Blohorn ranch. The following day, Sunday 30, it will be the turn of Román, Miguel de Pablo, and Clemente, who will fight bulls from Manuel Assunçao Coimbra.
The highlight comes on Monday 31, with the most prominent lineup: Talavante, Juan Ortega, and Pablo Aguado will face bulls from Núñez del Cubillo. The day on Tuesday, September 1, will feature Diego Urdiales, David de Miranda, and Víctor Hernández with bulls from Juan Manuel Criado. The cycle concludes on Wednesday 2 with a novice bullfight without picadors, featuring novice bullfighters Rodrigo Cobo, Marco Peláez, and Rubén Vara against calves from Ginés Bartolomé.
The organisation has confirmed that the fair will be complemented by traditional activities. On August 27, events will commence with the transfer of oxen to the square and the unloading of the first cattle. In the following days, there will be exhibitions of small oxen, releases of cattle, and new unloadings, keeping alive the most popular events of the patronal festivities.
Subscriptions and tickets: key dates and discounts
Renewals for subscriptions for old and new subscribers will take place from August 18 to 22. The sale of individual tickets will begin on August 24. The Colmenar Viejo City Council has announced that special rates will be maintained for over 65s, large families, young people under 18, members of clubs, and long-term unemployed. Tickets can be purchased at the official ticket offices of the bullring and online.
With this programme, Colmenar Viejo reinforces its position as one of the major bullfighting venues of the Madrid summer. The fair, which combines established figures with young bullfighting promises, aims to attract both local enthusiasts and visitors from across the Community of Madrid. At this point, no one is surprised that a bullring in the Sierra de Madrid gathers names of the stature of Talavante and Ortega each year. Perhaps that is why the atmosphere in La Corredera promises to be, once again, one that fosters passion for the sport.
