Four Free Courses for Young People and the Unemployed in the Community of Madrid

Four free courses in Madrid for young people and the unemployed: hotel receptionist, art radiography, cost accounting, and loader operations.

The Community of Madrid offers four free training courses for young people and the unemployed. The places cover areas such as hospitality, art restoration, accounting, and construction.

The Community of Madrid has opened the registration period for four free training courses, aimed specifically at young people and unemployed individuals. The places are part of programmes such as the Young Talent initiative by the Chamber of Commerce and the Labour Foundation for Construction, among others.

One of the most notable courses is for hotel and restaurant receptionist, with 210 hours of in-person training. It is aimed at young people aged between 16 and 29 who are neither studying nor working, and is part of the Young Talent programme. Students will learn English, customer service, teamwork, and specific knowledge of hospitality and tourism.

For those interested in art and conservation, the CMICE of Moratalaz offers the course Techniques for Radiographing Works of Art. With 200 hours of in-person classes starting on September 29, it is primarily aimed at unemployed individuals in the region. A university degree, vocational training, or prior experience in the sector is required, and access tests may be conducted.

In the field of administration and finance, an online course in Cost Accounting is available, lasting 60 hours. Participants can complete it during the month of August and will gain knowledge about the factors involved in cost accounting and its practical application.

Finally, the Labour Foundation for Construction is organising a course on Loader Operations in Móstoles, consisting of 130 hours of in-person training. Classes will begin on September 10 and end on November 12. Students will learn to carry out loading and unloading operations of earth and aggregates, as well as basic maintenance of the machinery.

All courses are free and have limited places. Registrations are managed through the websites of each organising entity. The Madrid Works programme, from Telemadrid and Onda Madrid, has disseminated these training offers in its edition of July 24.
