The State Meteorological Agency forecasts for tomorrow, Sunday, in Las Rozas de Madrid, cloudy intervals with light rain and a high probability of storms throughout the day.
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has published the forecast for tomorrow, Sunday, July 12, in Las Rozas de Madrid, and residents should keep an eye on the sky. Cloudy intervals with light rain are expected during the early hours, which could leave up to 0.1 litres per square metre around 12:00 and another similar amount around 13:00. The probability of storms is high throughout the day.
Maximum temperatures will drop and will be around 33 degrees by 17:00, while minimums will hover around 17 degrees. Winds will be light, from the south, which should not pose a problem for those with outdoor plans, although the rain could disrupt some morning strolls.
A Sunday of contrasts: morning rain and a more stable afternoon
According to AEMET, Sunday will start with overcast skies and light precipitation. As the morning progresses, the clouds will give way to clearer skies, and between noon and the afternoon, the sky will present few clouds. However, towards nightfall, high clouds will return. This variable weather pattern is typical of summer in the western area of the Community of Madrid, where July storms are usually quick but intense.
Residents of Las Rozas planning outdoor activities, such as sports in El Cantizal Park or a visit to the La Rozas Market, should carry an umbrella in the morning and take advantage of the afternoon break. Municipal swimming pools may see lower attendance during the rainy hours, but the afternoon looks more suitable for swimming.
Monday and Tuesday: rising heat without precipitation
For Monday, July 13, AEMET forecasts a mostly clear day from dawn, with clouds tending to disappear after 12:00. Temperatures will remain similar: a maximum of 32 degrees and a minimum of 16. Light winds from the southwest will not alter the thermal sensation.
Tuesday, July 14, will be even hotter, with maximums reaching 35 degrees and clear skies. No rain is expected, and winds will be light from the south. Those who enjoy the heat can plan without fear of weather surprises.
“The probability of storms is high throughout Sunday, but the precipitation will be light and localized,” sources from AEMET indicate.
For residents of Las Rozas, this weekend will serve as a reminder that summer in the Sierra Madrileña brings contrasts: unstable mornings and sunny afternoons. Drivers should exercise caution on the A-6 and M-50 if rain reduces visibility, especially in the tunnels near the El Cantizal urbanization.
In any case, the forecast is provisional and may change. AEMET recommends checking their hourly updates to adjust plans. The good news is that, after Sunday, the weather stabilizes and heat will once again take centre stage in Las Rozas.
