The Boadilla del Monte Town Hall is organising an outdoor summer cinema with four free screenings. The sessions will take place on Mondays in July at 22:00 in the Mirador del Nacedero park.

The Boadilla del Monte Town Hall has scheduled a summer cinema cycle for this July in the Mirador del Nacedero park, with free entry until capacity is reached. The four sessions, planned for Mondays at 22:00, will kick off on July 6 with the screening of 'Lilo & Stitch', although this first event has been cancelled and a new date will be announced soon.

Films for all audiences

The programme includes family-friendly titles and recent releases. On July 13, 'Jurassic World: Dominion', the latest installment of the dinosaur saga, will be screened, lasting 134 minutes. On July 20, the animated film 'Dog Man', a comedy about a police dog merged with his human partner, will be shown. The cycle will conclude on July 27 with 'Los futbolísimos 2: The Mystery of the Pirate Treasure', a Spanish film that combines football, adventure, and humour, starring Nicolás Rodicio, Joaquín Reyes, and Arturo Valls.

How to enjoy outdoor cinema

The Mirador del Nacedero park, located on Avenida de España, will be the setting for these cinema nights. Entry is free and no reservation is necessary, although it is recommended to arrive early to secure a spot. Capacity is limited and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can bring chairs, blankets, and food, but access with alcoholic beverages is not permitted.

For residents of Boadilla and nearby towns, this initiative provides a cost-free summer leisure opportunity in a natural setting. Additionally, the films are suitable for the whole family, with timings that allow enjoyment of the cool evening air. The Town Hall reminds that in case of rain, screenings will be suspended and new dates will be communicated through their official channels.

The cancellation of the first session has been a setback, but the Town Hall assures that the new date will be communicated soon. In the meantime, film lovers can mark their calendars for the following Mondays: July 13, 20, and 27 to not miss the upcoming screenings.

Summer cinema has become a tradition in many municipalities in the Community of Madrid, and Boadilla is no exception. With this proposal, the Town Hall aims to offer free and quality leisure alternatives, promoting community interaction and enjoyment of public spaces. Residents can check the full programme on the municipal website or on the Town Hall's social media.
