The Boadilla del Monte Town Council has opened the registration period for the III Contest of Soloists and Musical Groups, Boadilla Sound, whose winners will perform during the patronal festivities. The winner will take the stage at the municipal tent, and the runner-up will have another space to be determined.
The Boadilla del Monte Town Council has launched the third edition of the Boadilla Sound, the contest that seeks the best soloists and musical groups in the municipality. The winners will earn a spot in the upcoming patronal festivities, with the grand prize of performing at the municipal tent. The second-place winner will also have their moment, although the location will be defined later according to the festive programming.
Requirements to Participate in Boadilla Sound
To enter the contest, soloists must be registered in Boadilla del Monte, and groups need at least 50% of their members to meet this requirement. Those who already have a record contract should stay at home: they cannot participate. Artists must have a sufficient repertoire to perform live for a minimum of 40 minutes, in any musical style. It doesn't matter if you're from the hardest rock or the most melodic pop; what matters is the talent and the live performance.
How to Register for the Music Contest
Registration is online and will be open until 31 August 2026. A form must be filled out on the Town Council's Electronic Headquarters, indicating the interested party's details (name, ID number, tax ID or CIF) and, in the case of groups, who will be the point of contact with the organization. Additionally, applicants must submit between three and six tracks in video or audio recording format, preferably from a live performance. The material should be uploaded to platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Bandcamp, or SoundCloud, and the link should be included in the application.
The Jury and the Prize
The jury will consist of individuals linked to the music industry, although the Town Council has not specified names. They will evaluate the quality of the proposals and, above all, the live performance. The winner will perform at the municipal tent during the patronal festivities, a stage that has already seen other local talents in previous editions. The runner-up will have their concert in a location yet to be defined, but it promises to be just as special. For the musicians of Boadilla, this is a golden opportunity to make themselves known and, in the process, build a good resume. However, they will need to hurry: the deadline ends on 31 August, and then it will be time to await the jury's verdict. In the meantime, residents can start sharpening their ears to enjoy the new local talents at the festivities.
