The Community of Madrid participated in the third meeting of the European CIRCE project in Rome, where it shared its progress in implementing best practices in Primary Care.
The Community of Madrid announced in Rome the advances of the European CIRCE project, an initiative aimed at promoting innovation in Primary Care and strengthening health promotion strategies. The third consortium meeting, held on May 25 and 26, brought together various EU member states to exchange experiences and move towards more preventive care models.
Representing the Madrid region were Yolanda del Rey Granado, principal investigator; Laura Arcas Verdú, collaborating researcher; and Juan Jiménez Hervás, as the project's implementing partner. All of them are part of the Madrid Health Service (SERMAS) and the Foundation for Research and Innovation in Primary Care (FIIBAP), entities that collaborate in the development of CIRCE.
During the meeting, participants analysed the progress made in different territories. The Madrid delegation presented the achievements reached, the main experiences, and the challenges identified in implementing the planned actions. Additionally, European partners presented the evolution of their respective work, allowing for the identification of common challenges and the search for joint solutions.
CIRCE is configured as a European collaboration space aimed at promoting more effective Primary Care models in health promotion and disease prevention. The project facilitates the transfer of innovative experiences and the adoption of evidence-based practices, with the goal of improving care quality and the sustainability of the healthcare system.
The Community of Madrid's participation in this third consortium meeting reinforces its commitment to innovation and international cooperation. The region thus moves towards a more preventive, community-oriented care model focused on the needs of citizens, in line with European health strategies.
The CIRCE project, co-financed by the European Union, involves entities from several countries. The next meeting is scheduled for the end of the year, where the results obtained will be evaluated and the next steps defined.
