The Community of Madrid raises the budget for subsidising hiring in Special Employment Centres by 3.5%, exceeding 90 million in 2026.
The Community of Madrid has announced an increase of more than 3 million euros in aid aimed at creating and maintaining employment for people with disabilities in the region's Special Employment Centres (CEE). With this increase, the budget for 2026 will exceed 90 million euros, allowing for the financing of up to 65% of the salary costs of these workers.
The measure, presented by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, aims to strengthen the labour integration of a group that has 254 special centres and more than 20,000 employees with disabilities in the region. Since 2023, the regional government has allocated more than 267 million euros to this line of subsidies.
The aid is directed to centres that meet two requirements: that at least 70% of their workforce is made up of people with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, and that they are qualified and registered in the Register of Centres. The amount varies according to the worker's profile and the type of contract.
In general, the subsidy covers 50% of the minimum interprofessional salary for permanent contracts, and rises to 60% for those with greater barriers to employment. The novelty of this call is that the percentage increases to 65% for those over 45 years old, under the Senior Employment Plan.
To expedite processing, the Ministry has launched a specific software application, accessible from the Community of Madrid's website throughout the year. Interested centres can submit documentation electronically, which reduces deadlines and simplifies procedures.
This investment represents direct support for the centres in the region, which play a key social role in the labour integration of people with disabilities. The next call will be open throughout 2026, and the first payments are expected to materialise after the resolution of the applications.
