The Community of Madrid activates a fund of one million euros for 2026. Women with employment difficulties can request up to 12,420 euros.
The Community of Madrid has approved a package of direct one-off aid worth one million euros for women victims of gender violence, with special attention to those who have difficulties accessing the labour market. The measure, which will be in effect throughout 2026, aims to facilitate the social and economic integration of those affected.
The base amount will be 3,420 euros, equivalent to six months of unemployment benefit or 95% of the IPREM. This amount can be increased up to 12,420 euros depending on family responsibilities: if the victim has dependents or if any of them has a recognised degree of disability.
Women whose monthly income does not exceed 75% of the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) will be able to apply. Applications can be submitted at any time of the year through the citizen service offices of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Social Affairs.
An expanding network of resources
The Community of Madrid maintains the largest support network in Spain for victims of violence, with emergency centres, shelters, supervised apartments, and specific residential places for victims of trafficking, young people, female prisoners, and ex-prisoners. There are also two 24-hour Crisis Centres, one of which has eight residential places.
Among the pioneering initiatives is a programme to help victims leave prostitution and another aimed at young people with intellectual disabilities. This financial aid complements that network of resources, which the regional government considers key to the recovery of affected women.
The application period is open all year round, so interested parties can visit the citizen service offices of the ministry whenever they need to. The resolution will be communicated individually to each applicant.
