The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow alert for tomorrow Tuesday in Brunete due to maximum temperatures reaching 36 degrees.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow warning for the locality of Brunete due to the high temperatures expected for tomorrow Tuesday. The mercury will reach 36 degrees in the central hours of the afternoon, according to the official forecast.

The yellow alert indicates a low meteorological risk but with possible health effects if precautions are not taken. The sky will be clear throughout the day, with light winds from the south that will not alleviate the heat.

Suffocating weekend: up to 41 degrees on Sunday

The heatwave will not relent. On Wednesday, temperatures will remain high, with a maximum of 35 degrees and minimums of 19, according to AEMET. The sky will remain cloudless and the winds will be light from the southwest.

Thursday could bring some relief: cloudy intervals and a possibility of precipitation are expected, although temperatures will remain high, between 20 and 34 degrees. Winds will be light from the southwest.

The weekend will be the hottest. On Saturday, the mercury will rise to 38 degrees, with minimums of 18 and clear skies. On Sunday, the peak will be reached: 41 degrees maximum and 22 minimum, with calm winds.

Recommendations for the residents of Brunete

The Brunete Town Hall has reminded residents of the importance of staying hydrated and avoiding sun exposure during the central hours of the day, between 12:00 and 18:00. Special attention is recommended for the elderly and children, as well as for people with chronic illnesses.

For those working outdoors, such as farmers or gardeners, the alert means taking extra precautions: using sunscreen, wearing a hat, and taking frequent breaks in the shade. It is also advised to keep homes cool by closing blinds and ventilating at night.

Intense heat can cause heat strokes, with symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, or headaches. At any sign, it is best to seek a cool place and drink water. If symptoms persist, call 112.

AEMET's forecast is provisional and will be updated in the coming days. Residents can check the official website to follow the evolution of the alert.

Meanwhile, in Brunete, it's time to arm oneself with patience, a fan, and plenty of water. Summer seems to have arrived to stay, and with enthusiasm.
