The City Council of Aranjuez unveiled this Thursday the musical line-up for the Motín 2026 Festival, which will be held from September 2 to 6. The programme, declared of International Tourist Interest, includes names such as La Pegatina, Jaime Urrutia, and Coti, and brings back Plaza de San Antonio as the main stage.
The proposal combines concerts by national and international artists, tributes, orchestras, and DJ sessions, aiming to offer a varied selection for all audiences. The distribution of the stages concentrates activities in the city centre, allowing attendees to walk between the different locations.
Plaza de San Antonio, also known as Mariblanca, is once again part of the musical programme after Patrimonio Nacional authorised its use. This space, much loved by the locals, will host two of the most anticipated concerts: La Pegatina on Friday, September 4, and Coti on Saturday, September 5.
On Thursday, September 3, music will kick off with the traditional Festival Opening Speech, which this year will be delivered by José Luis Salcedo Nieto 'Pepín'. At 10:00 PM, the Orquesta Atlántida will perform at Plaza de la Constitución, followed by a DJ session at 1:00 AM.
On Friday, September 4, Plaza de la Constitución will welcome Boseido, a tribute band dedicated to Miguel Bosé, at 10:00 PM. At 11:00 PM, La Pegatina will take the stage at Plaza de San Antonio. The night will continue with a DJ session at Raso de la Estrella at midnight and the Orquesta Loriens on Calle de las Infantas at 1:00 AM.
On Saturday, September 5, Jaime Urrutia (Gabinete Caligari) will perform at 10:00 PM at Plaza de la Constitución. At midnight, Coti will give his concert at Plaza de San Antonio. The Orquesta Exilum will liven up Calle de las Infantas from 1:00 AM, and Raso de la Estrella will once again host a DJ session.
The proximity between Plaza de la Constitución and Plaza de San Antonio will allow attendees to enjoy one concert and, just a few minutes later, walk to the next. This model aims to provide a comfortable experience for both locals and visitors, enhanced by the orchestras on Calle de las Infantas.
The DJ sessions on Friday and Saturday will repeat at Raso de la Estrella, a space that the City Council considers ideal for ensuring safety and accommodating more attendees. This larger area is solidifying as the epicentre of nightlife during the festivities.
The City Council has thanked Patrimonio Nacional for their collaboration in authorising the use of Plaza de San Antonio. This agreement has made it possible to recover an emblematic space for concerts, in a programme that values the heritage and uniqueness of the festivities.
