The Town Hall of Pinto will once again distribute noise-cancelling headphones to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and auditory sensitivity for the Patron Festivities in Honour of Our Lady of the Assumption, from August 8 to 15.
The Town Hall of Pinto, through the Department of Culture, has announced the third edition of the distribution of noise-cancelling headphones for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and accredited auditory sensitivity. The initiative, which is being repeated for the third consecutive year, aims to facilitate participation in the Patron Festivities in Honour of Our Lady of the Assumption, which will be held from August 8 to 15.
The headphones, of the same model as those distributed in 2025, are designed to isolate noise and prevent discomfort for those with auditory hypersensitivity. The councillor responsible for Festivities, Víctor Alonso, has highlighted that "once again this year we are promoting this measure in favour of the inclusion of people with disabilities. At the Town Hall of Pinto, we are aware of this and will continue to implement all initiatives that contribute to it."
The collection of the devices will take place from August 3 to 7, in the morning, at the Town Hall of Pinto itself. Interested individuals must present a medical certificate that verifies the diagnosis of ASD or auditory sensitivity. Distribution will continue until supplies run out, so it is recommended to come as soon as possible.
An important point to consider is that individuals who already collected headphones last year will not be able to obtain new ones this year. The Town Hall asks that they reuse the ones they already have, to optimise resources and reach more residents. The measure has been very well received in previous editions, according to municipal sources.
The Patron Festivities of Pinto, which include street parties, concerts, and outdoor activities, usually create a noisy environment that can be uncomfortable for people with auditory hypersensitivity. With this initiative, the City Council aims for all residents, regardless of their conditions, to enjoy a few days of celebration.
