The 26-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper Ana Pinto returns to the first team of ENCE Marín Futsal after a season in the reserves. She is the club's first signing for the 2026/2027 season in Segunda División.
The ENCE Marín Futsal announced this Thursday its first move for the 2026/2027 season: the return of goalkeeper Ana Pinto. The 26-year-old Portuguese has signed to strengthen the goal for Raúl Jiménez's team, which will compete in Segunda División again after last year's relegation.
Pinto, born in Évora (Portugal) in 2000, joined the club in the summer of 2023 from the Portuguese Inter SC. That season, under the management of Ramiro López Díaz, she made her debut in Primera División. She played two seasons at the top level before the team lost its category.
Back to the elite from the grassroots
After the relegation, the goalkeeper decided not to renew her contract with the first team, but remained linked to the club as a youth coach and goalkeeper for the reserves. Now, ENCE Marín Futsal is bringing back her experience and leadership to attempt promotion to the top category.
“Ana is a player with a lot of character and knowledge of the club. Her return gives us security and competitiveness in goal,” highlighted coach Raúl Jiménez. The Portuguese goalkeeper will bring work ethic and experience to a young dressing room.
Maialen Amoedo, the promising player who stays
Additionally, the club has confirmed the renewal of young goalkeeper Maialen Amoedo, 16 years old and from Marín. The first-year youth player already made nine starts last season and was called up to the Galician U-16 national team, with which she was a runner-up in Spain.
Her standout match was against the reserves of Ourense Ontime, where she kept a clean sheet. She also scored a goal from her own half in the victory against AD Mioño. The homegrown player will be the natural successor to Pinto.
ENCE Marín Futsal will start pre-season in mid-August. The Segunda División schedule will be drawn in the coming weeks.
