The Verbena programme from the Móstoles City Council brings this weekend shows of boleros, flamenco, and a tribute to Bollywood divas, as well as circus and puppetry for the little ones.

The Móstoles City Council, through the Department of Education and Culture, has scheduled a new edition of its Verbena cycle for this weekend, which includes concerts and shows for all audiences. The cultural offering kicks off this Friday, July 31, at Parque Coimbra and runs until Sunday, August 2, featuring proposals ranging from bolero to flamenco, including Bollywood music.

On Friday at 21:30, outside the District Board 5 at Parque Coimbra, the group Cuarto Bolero will present their show 'With One Heart', a concert that fuses classic bolero with Cuban son. The performance promises to transport the audience to the golden age of these rhythms, with songs that invite dancing and nostalgia.

On Saturday, August 1, the Plaza de la Cultura will host 'Bollywood Drama Queen', a show that pays tribute to the great divas of Indian cinema. Starting at 21:30, attendees can enjoy iconic Bollywood dances, with colourful costumes and choreographies that reflect India's rich culture. On the same Saturday, at the same time, Parque Los Rosales will host the concert by Bruma Flamenca, a group that offers a fusion of flamenco with other styles, creating a show full of passion and strength.

On Sunday, August 2, the Plaza de la Cultura will again be the meeting point with the concert by Cuarteto Tierra de Sabor, which at 21:30 will perform a varied repertoire including chachachá, rumba, pasodoble, salsa, pop, rock, and hits from the 60s and 70s. The group promises a musical journey that will get everyone dancing.

Children's Fair: Circus and Puppetry for the Little Ones

Meanwhile, the Children's Verbena programme offers activities designed for children and families. On Friday, July 31, at 21:30, the company Trotamundos will perform 'Story of a Trunk' in Plaza del Sol at PAU-4. This is a circus and gestural theatre show that narrates the adventures of Fidel and Capulita, two travelling characters who carry a magical trunk full of surprises. With juggling, hula hoops, and humour, the play aims to entertain both children and adults.

On Sunday, August 2, at 11:00, the Puppet Theatre of Finca Liana will host the play 'A Wolf in the Stories', performed by the company Los Gorriones. Founded in 2005, this group is known in the Community of Madrid for its work in merging art, education, and values. The performance promises a fun and educational story about the wolves in classic tales.

With these activities, the Móstoles City Council aims to provide a cultural leisure alternative during the months of July and August, both for residents and visitors. All shows are outdoors and free of charge, allowing families to enjoy the summer together.

The Verbena programme has established itself as a regular event in Móstoles' summer calendar, with a varied offering that encompasses different musical and artistic styles. The responsible department has highlighted the importance of bringing culture to all neighbourhoods in the municipality, using public spaces such as parks and squares.

For more information about the complete programme and possible changes due to weather conditions, interested parties can consult the Móstoles City Council website or the official social media.
