The Teatro Auditorio Ciudad de Alcobendas (TACA) inaugurates its new season on October 17 with over twenty shows until January, including works by José Sacristán and Carlos Sobera, dance from the National Company, and a musical tribute to Michael Jackson.
The Teatro Auditorio Ciudad de Alcobendas (TACA) raises the curtain on October 17 to kick off a season that will extend until the end of January. The lineup, featuring more than twenty proposals, encompasses theatre, dance, opera, circus, magic, comedy, and music, bringing together established figures from the national scene such as José Sacristán, Ana Labordeta, Pepón Nieto, and Coque Malla.
One of the highlights will arrive on November 14 with the return of the National Dance Company, which will present the triple programme NumEros. Classical and contemporary dance will thus have a prominent place in a programme that also includes major theatrical titles such as La ratonera, 53 domingos, El hijo de la cómica, La ópera de los tres centavos, and La pasión infinita.
The audience will be able to see José Sacristán on stage in one of the scheduled works, as well as Ana Labordeta, Pepón Nieto, and Coque Malla. Additionally, on November 6, Invisible, the theatrical adaptation of the bestseller by Eloy Moreno, a story that has connected with thousands of readers, will be performed.
Classic comedy will also have its space with La comedia de la olla, the grand production premiered this year at the International Classical Theatre Festival of Mérida, featuring Carlos Sobera leading the cast. Opera lovers will enjoy La flauta mágica by Mozart on November 7, a classic of the genre.
To close the year, the traditional Grand New Year Concert will be held on December 26, featuring a repertoire of waltzes, dances, and opera excerpts performed by soprano Bianca Tognocchi and the Décimo Arte Symphony Orchestra. In January, the TACA stage will host Michael’s Legacy, regarded as one of the best tribute shows to Michael Jackson.
The family programming returns to the forefront with magic, circus, and musical theatre proposals such as La bruja rechinadientes, awarded with FETEN and Max awards; Strafalari, the new show by Mag Lari; and Buh! Un cuento de Navidad.
Humour will be provided by Gool, the latest production by Yllana. The Puro Teatro cycle will offer two intimate formats on stage: Profeta del vientre, un ventrílocuo en el exilio, by Jaime Figueroa, and Aromas de soledad, an emotional tribute to the rural world and the emptied Spain.
The cultural offer is completed with Noches en La Esfera and the Classical Music Cycle, which expand options for all tastes. Tickets for all shows are already on sale through the website teatro.alcobendas.org.
