On September 7 at 19:00, the Sabatini Gardens will transform into a runway for the inaugural show. Over 60 creators will participate in 45 shows and activities across the city until September 19.
On September 7 at 19:00, the Sabatini Gardens, located on the north facade of the Royal Palace, will be the stage for the inaugural show of the Madrid Fashion Week 2026. This event, which will last for ten days, will bring together more than 60 creators in 45 shows, presentations, exhibitions, and performances at various locations throughout the capital.
The opening show will focus on tones inspired by Madrid's sunsets and will take place around the central pond, amidst 18th-century sculptures. This proposal marks the beginning of the OMODA Madrid es Moda 2026 programme, driven by the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME), which will run from September 7 to 10. Following this, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2026 will take place from September 14 to 19.
This year's edition once again turns Madrid's urban heritage into a stage for author collections. Alongside the Sabatini Gardens, the programme includes activities in Plaza de España, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de la Villa, the National Archaeological Museum, Paseo del Prado, and the monument to Alfonso XII, located in the Retiro Park pond.
The shows will also take place at locations such as La Nave, Hotel Wellington, the Museum of History of Madrid, and the cloister of the San Isidro Institute. Among the participating brands in OMODA are Adlib Ibiza, Ángel Schlesser, Carlota Barrera, Dolores Cortés, Dominnico, García Madrid, Juan Avellaneda x See Iou, María Lafuente, Oteyza, Roberto Verino, and The 2nd Skin CO., among others.
Highlights of this block include the debut of the first collection by Dolores Promesas x Duyos, the collaboration between Daniel Chong and Eduardo Navarrete, and the commemoration of 40 years of Devota & Lomba.
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2026 will introduce new locations. The inaugural day will take place in the greenhouse of the Crystal Palace in Arganzuela, while the Cibeles Palace will host a special format. The main hub of the shows will move to the Communication and Arts campus of Nebrija University, located on San Francisco de Sales Street.
The official runway will include the 10th anniversary of Palomo and the return of names like Moisés Nieto or Alvarno and Redondo Brand, alongside brands such as Juan Vidal, Adolfo Domínguez, Ernesto Naranjo, and Acromatyx.
Thus, Madrid Fashion Week 2026 turns the city into a grand showcase of author fashion, featuring proposals ranging from emerging design to established brands.
