The Child and Adolescent Resource Centres of San Fernando de Henares will reopen in September with an offer that includes psychomotricity, music, and art. Registrations begin on 2nd September.

The Child and Adolescent Resource Centres (CRIA) of San Fernando de Henares will resume their activities next September with a programme designed for children from four months to 12 years old. The offer, which is part of the 2026-2027 season, includes play activities, psychomotricity, sensory stimulation, plastic arts, music, and child participation, as reported by the local council.

The proposals will take place in the ‘Green’, ‘Yellow’, and ‘Orange’ rooms, spaces adapted to different stages of development where participants will learn and socialise through playful dynamics. In addition, sessions of psychomotricity, crafts, sensory stimulation, and plastic and performing arts will be offered, aiming to enhance imagination, body expression, and creative abilities from the earliest stages of childhood.

Among the new features is ‘ChikiRitmo’, an activity to enjoy dance and music, as well as the ‘Leisure Club’, an initiative based on experimentation, exploration, and socialisation through play and workshops, promoting healthy leisure and peer relationships.

The Councillor for Childhood, Adolescence, and Youth, M.ª Eugenia Cabrera, emphasised the government team's commitment to these programmes: “With all these activities, we continue to bet on quality public services and to offer programmes that favour the work-life balance of our residents.”

During the new season, ‘CRIA-Families’ will also be launched, a meeting and participation space aimed at the parents of the registered children. Through this initiative, families will be able to propose new ideas and activities for their potential development throughout the year, actively contributing to the programming and functioning of these municipal spaces.

Furthermore, the Participation Bodies will continue, made up of the Children’s Participation Forum and the Adolescent Participation Table. In these spaces, children and adolescents work together to convey their proposals, ideas, and suggestions to the municipal government aimed at improving San Fernando de Henares.

The registration period will begin on Wednesday, 2nd September, and will remain open throughout the school year until all available places are filled. Applications can be made through the website www.criasanfer.com starting from Wednesday, 2nd September, at 10:00 hours. They can also be formalised in person at the CRIA of the José Saramago Centre during the following hours: Wednesday, 2nd September, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours; Thursday, 3rd September, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:30 to 20:00 hours; and Friday, 4th September, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours. From Monday, 7th September, registrations can be processed during the usual service hours of the CRIA José Saramago and the CRIA Mario Benedetti.

The complete programme can be consulted in the information brochure available on the municipal website. With this offer, the San Fernando de Henares City Council aims to provide educational leisure alternatives for the youngest and facilitate family reconciliation in the municipality.
