The 'Veranísimos' programme from the Las Rozas Town Hall offers circus, classic cinema, Latin music and an outdoor symphony orchestra this Friday and Saturday. Additionally, on Sunday, the Spain-Argentina football final will be screened in a fan zone at Plaza de España.
Friday night in Las Rozas will kick off with laughter and juggling. At 20:30, the amphitheatre of Parque 1º de Mayo will host Caricatos, a circus and gestural humour show by the company La Belle École. Two characters engage in a stage duel inspired by silent cinema and great clowns, from Buster Keaton to Bill Irwin. An event for all ages that promises poetry and fun in equal measure.
Latin music and symphony orchestra at Parque París and Dehesa de Navalcarbón
On Saturday, at 22:00, the Auditorio del Parque París will be filled with Latin American rhythms featuring Vientos del Sur. The group will perform classics from the continent's popular music, from Andean sounds to passionate songs. An evening to be swept away by emotion and collective memory, outdoors with the summer breeze in the background.
But the musical offerings don't stop there. On Friday, at 22:30, the JOsM Chamber Orchestra presents Magic Night at Dehesa de Navalcarbón. Under the direction of Pablo Andrés, they blend classics from film, pop and rock with symphonic versions of Michael Jackson, Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Nirvana. A concert that breaks down barriers between genres and generations, bringing symphonic music closer in a fresh and accessible way. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office of the Joaquín Rodrigo Auditorium.
Outdoor Hitchcock cinema at Plaza de España
The outdoor classic cinema cycle will conclude this Friday with North by Northwest by Alfred Hitchcock. The screening begins at 22:00 in Plaza de España, featuring the iconic story of Roger Thornhill, an executive mistaken for a spy. Plane chases and the climax at Mount Rushmore make this film a masterpiece of suspense. A unique opportunity to rediscover cinema on the big screen under the stars.
Fan zone for the Spain-Argentina final on Sunday
On Sunday, Plaza de España will transform into a fan zone to watch the final of the tournament between Spain and Argentina at 21:00 (Spanish time). The Town Hall will set up giant screens, and there will be a DJ and activities starting from 20:30. Residents will be able to cheer on the Spanish team in a festive atmosphere. To ensure safety, the Local Police will regulate access from 19:30, allowing entry only via Avenida de los Toreros and the streets Galicia, Ebro, Quicos and Fuente. Access with glass containers or dangerous objects will not be permitted.
The complete programme of 'Veranísimos' can be consulted on the municipal website. A varied and free cultural offering that makes Las Rozas a perfect plan for summer nights, with options for all tastes: from the most family-friendly circus to auteur cinema, along with concerts that invite dancing and excitement. And to close the weekend, football on a giant screen with the national team. All this, outdoors and with the assurance of a well-organised event.
