The State Meteorological Agency has activated an orange alert for this Wednesday in Brunete due to temperatures reaching 39 degrees. The warning affects the southern, western and Las Vegas regions.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated an orange alert for this Wednesday due to maximum temperatures in Brunete, where the thermometer will reach 39 degrees. The warning, which will be in effect from noon until late afternoon, affects the southern and western regions of the Community of Madrid, as well as the Las Vegas area.

The sky, according to the forecast, will start slightly cloudy and will clear throughout the morning. Winds will be light from the southwest, with no significant gusts expected. The minimum temperatures will exceed 21 degrees, leading to tropical nights.

Thursday and Friday: the heat continues

Thursday will bring back a cloudless outlook in Brunete. Maximum temperatures will remain around 38 degrees, while minimums will not drop below 21. Winds, again light from the southwest, will hardly alleviate the muggy feeling.

For Friday, AEMET forecasts a thermal drop: the maximum will fall to 34 degrees, although the minimums will remain stable. The sky will remain clear and no rain is expected. Winds, always light, will continue blowing from the southwest.

Weekend: slight relief and passing clouds

Saturday will continue the trend of clear skies in Brunete, with a maximum of 31 degrees and a minimum of 16. However, on Sunday, cloudy intervals are expected that could bring some relief. Maximum temperatures will remain similar, while minimums will not experience significant changes. The wind, both Saturday and Sunday, will be light from the southwest, although calm conditions are expected on Sunday morning.

In light of this heatwave, authorities recommend staying hydrated, avoiding sun exposure during peak hours, and paying special attention to the elderly and children. In Brunete, the thermometer will not give any respite at least until the weekend, when temperatures will begin a gradual decline.
