The Alcobendas City Council is setting up the Valdelasfuentes Sports City with a giant screen, children's activities, and a bar service to watch live the World Cup 2026 final between Spain and Argentina.
This Sunday, July 19, the Spanish team will compete in the World Cup 2026 final against Argentina, and Alcobendas is rallying its residents to ensure no one misses it. The City Council has confirmed the installation of a giant screen at the Valdelasfuentes Sports City, a device that was successfully used during the earlier stages of the tournament.
The event starts at 21:00, but the venue will open its doors at 20:00 so that attendees can arrive early and enjoy the atmosphere. Entry is free and no reservation is required, but it is recommended to arrive early as capacity is limited for safety reasons.
Family Party with Face Painting and DJ
The organisers have prepared a programme of activities to liven up the wait. The little ones can enjoy a face painting service with the team’s colours, while a DJ will provide live music to keep the festive atmosphere going. There will also be a food and drink bar so that residents can have dinner without missing a minute of the match.
The mayor, Rocío García, and the sports councillor, Jesús Tortosa, have confirmed their attendance, showing institutional support for the event. García has highlighted that "Alcobendas wants to be a meeting point for fans to experience this final with intensity and as a community."
Raffles and Surprises at Half-Time
During the half-time break, the organisers have announced a raffle of sports equipment among attendees. Additionally, the City Council has prepared some "surprises" that have not been revealed, aiming to make this night an unforgettable experience.
The Alcobendas initiative joins those of other municipalities in northern Madrid, but Valdelasfuentes stands out as one of the key locations due to its large capacity and the comprehensive programme prepared. The passion for the team is felt intensely in the region, and this Sunday will be an opportunity to celebrate sport in a safe and festive environment.
The City Council calls for civility and coexistence, so that, regardless of the outcome, the night serves as an example of sporting brotherhood. With everything ready, Alcobendas awaits the unanimous cheer from fans dreaming of a second World Cup title for Spain.
