The municipal healthy nightlife programme 'Sube-T' continues this weekend in Torrejón de Ardoz with a Basketball Night and the screening of La Velada VI, free for young people aged 14 to 25.

The municipal healthy nightlife programme 'Sube-T' in Torrejón de Ardoz resumes its activities this weekend with two highlighted events. On Friday, July 24, Parque Veredillas will host a Basketball Night, while on Saturday, July 25, Paseo de la Convivencia will be the venue for the screening of La Velada VI. Both events will take place from 19:00 to 23:00, are free, and are aimed at young people aged between 14 and 25.

Friday's Basketball Night will offer a sports evening where attendees can participate in matches and activities related to basketball. Meanwhile, the screening of La Velada VI, the boxing and entertainment event organised by streamer Ibai Llanos, will be broadcast on a big screen at Paseo de la Convivencia, one of the city's most central areas.

These activities are part of the summer programming of 'Sube-T', which takes place on Fridays and Saturdays in July and September. The programme includes a wide range of free leisure activities that combine sport, culture, and healthy entertainment. Upcoming highlights include a BMX demonstration and class, a paddle tournament, an Urban Party with rap battles, karaoke, and snacks, as well as the Torresón Fest '26 festival, scheduled for Friday, October 2, as a special closing event.

The aim of 'Sube-T' is to offer young people in Torrejón de Ardoz healthy leisure alternatives during their free time, through recreational, sports, and cultural activities that promote their physical and mental well-being. The programme seeks to encourage active lifestyles and contribute to the prevention of risky behaviours or addictions through socialisation and personal development.

The activities are led by an educator and a socio-cultural animator, alongside other technicians with specific training in addiction prevention. These professionals provide informational material on drug consumption prevention and harm reduction actions associated with substance use.

'Sube-T' is a municipal socio-educational intervention programme partially funded by the Ministry of Health. It is aimed at young people aged 14 to 25 in the city, with its main objectives being to prevent substance use or other addictive behaviours and their associated risks. The programme has been recognised at the national level: it won second prize in the category of best indicated community prevention good practice at the VI Call for Good Practices by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in 2016.

Those interested in obtaining more information about the programming can follow the social media of the 'Sube-T' programme at @subet_torrejon or scan the QR code that appears on the informational posters distributed throughout the city.

The Torrejón de Ardoz City Council invites all young people in the municipality to participate in these free activities, which aim to offer alternative and healthy leisure during the summer nights. Both the Basketball Night and the screening of La Velada VI promise to be two attractive events for the local teenagers and young people.
