The orchestra La Misión, with over 14 years of experience, will offer a three-hour show at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 5, as part of the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities of Arganda del Rey.
On Saturday, September 5, the Fairgrounds of Arganda del Rey will transform into a grand musical stage with the performance of La Misión, one of the most prominent orchestras in the national scene. The Arganda City Council has confirmed this second event on the lineup for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities, following the announcement of Celtas Cortos.
La Misión arrives in Arganda after more than 14 years touring the main cities of Spain. Their show is characterised by an enormous technical display: a stage truck of nearly 1,000 square metres, LED screens, acrobatics, and choreography coordinated by its 15 members. The orchestra promises three uninterrupted hours of music and a unique audiovisual exhibition.
The mayor of Arganda del Rey, Alberto Escribano, has stated that “there are still many surprises to be revealed that will be announced in the coming weeks, but we are almost ready to experience a memorable Patron Saint Festivities for all the people of Arganda this September.”
With this confirmation, the programme for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivities is taking shape. The residents of Arganda and visitors will be able to enjoy a varied musical offering that combines established groups like Celtas Cortos with more modern proposals like La Misión. The city council plans to announce new performances in the coming weeks.
The performance of La Misión is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, at the Fairgrounds of Arganda. Access will be free, although the City Council recommends arriving early due to the expected influx of the public. The Patron Saint Festivities will be celebrated during the first half of September, with activities for all ages.
For those who wish to know more details about La Misión, the orchestra maintains an active profile on social media where they showcase part of their show. The Arganda City Council will be publishing the complete programme on its website and official channels.
