Real Madrid has made a move in the transfer market with a €100 million offer for Yan Diomande, the young Ivorian winger from RB Leipzig. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specialises in the transfer market, a delegation from the white club specifically travelled to Germany to present a formal proposal of €90 million fixed plus another €10 million in variables. This information has been subsequently confirmed by the newspapers Bild and The Athletic.
Diomande, 19, has burst onto the scene after his time at Leganés. He made his professional debut on March 29, 2025, at the Santiago Bernabéu, precisely in a Real Madrid-Leganés match. That season, he only played 10 matches in La Liga, but Leipzig decided to pay €20 million for him last summer, plus a 10% capital gain for the Leganés club. A year later, his value has multiplied.
In his first season in the Bundesliga, Diomande has scored 9 goals and provided 12 assists in 33 matches, figures that have attracted the interest of several top European clubs. Liverpool already attempted to sign him in June with a €100 million offer that was rejected. PSG, under Luis Enrique, also contacted the player's camp, although they did not submit an official proposal.
The player has signalled that his future lies away from Germany. He has deleted all his Instagram posts related to Leipzig and, during his participation in the World Cup with Ivory Coast, he avoided specifying where he will play next season. The Ivorians were eliminated by Norway on June 30 in the round of 16, and Diomande will return from holiday next week.
Leipzig, for its part, is not willing to let him go for less than €120 million, according to Bild. Real Madrid's offer falls below that figure, but the white club is confident it can close the deal. Mourinho, who has reverted to the 4-2-3-1 formation he used in his first spell, sees Diomande as the ideal right winger for that system.
Diomande shares an agency with Vinícius Jr. and Endrick: the three are linked to Roc Nation Sports. Real Madrid is also in negotiations with Vinícius to extend his contract, which expires on June 30, 2027.
