The Mayor of Torrejón de Ardoz visits Hella-Maesa, a company with 64 years of history that manufactures automotive lights and expects to exceed €61 million in sales by 2026.

The Mayor of Torrejón de Ardoz, Alejandro Navarro Prieto, visited the facilities of Hella-Maesa on Monday, a company with over six decades of experience in the automotive sector. Located at number 15 on Solana Street, the company is one of the industrial leaders in the municipality and generates over 300 jobs, 46% of which are held by women.

During the tour, the mayor was accompanied by the general director, Manuel Peña; the financial director, Ismael Moratilla; and the human resources director, Juan Carlos Aguado. Together they toured the production lines to gain firsthand knowledge of the manufacturing process of automotive components.

Hella-Maesa specializes in the manufacture of front and rear lights for original equipment of vehicles from brands such as Nissan, Seat, Peugeot, Renault, and Mitsubishi. It also produces spare parts for headlights and lights for the main manufacturers in the sector. The company expects to close the 2026 fiscal year with sales exceeding €61 million.

“Hella-Maesa is an example of the industrial potential of Torrejón. Its more than 64 years of history, the generation of over 300 jobs, and its involvement in projects for international manufacturers demonstrate that we have companies capable of competing at the highest level,” highlighted Alejandro Navarro during the visit.

The mayor emphasized the commitment of the City Council to the local business fabric, which he considers “a fundamental pillar for economic growth and the creation of opportunities.” The visit is part of a series of meetings that the council is holding with companies in the municipality to strengthen public-private collaboration.

Founded 64 years ago, Hella-Maesa has evolved from its origins as a components workshop to become a top-tier supplier for the international automotive industry. The company has adapted to changes in the sector by investing in innovation and quality to maintain its competitiveness.

For the residents of Torrejón de Ardoz, the presence of Hella-Maesa represents a stable source of qualified employment and a boost to the local economy. The company also contributes to the external projection of the municipality as an industrial hub in the Community of Madrid.

The visit concluded with an exchange of views on the future prospects of the sector and the needs of the company to continue growing. The City Council has committed to continue supporting local companies in their development.
