AEMET has activated a yellow alert in Las Rozas de Madrid for this Thursday due to maximum temperatures of 38 degrees. The day will start clear and become very cloudy by the end of the afternoon.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow alert for high temperatures in the metropolitan area and the Henares Corridor, where Las Rozas de Madrid is located. The warning will be in effect during the central hours of the day, when the mercury will reach 38 degrees.

The day will begin with completely clear skies from dawn until noon. From 12:00 onwards, the sky will become slightly cloudy and will remain so throughout the afternoon, although by the end of the day an increase in cloudiness is expected, leading to very cloudy conditions.

Light winds and minimums of 19 degrees

The minimum temperatures will be around 19 degrees, while the thermometers will rise to a maximum of 38, similar to the values recorded yesterday. Winds will be light from the southwest, with no significant gusts expected.

For Friday, the forecast indicates a cloudless day from dawn until noon, although from 12:00 onwards, cloudiness will increase. Temperatures will remain practically the same, with maximums of 37 degrees and minimums of 21. Winds will continue to be light from the southwest.

Weekend with cloudy intervals

Saturday and Sunday will bring skies with cloudy intervals in Las Rozas. On Saturday, the maximum temperature will exceed 37 degrees and the minimum will be 20. On Sunday, the maximum will remain similar and the minimum will not experience significant changes. The wind will be light from the southeast on Saturday and from the south on Sunday.

In other nearby municipalities, such as Brunete, clear skies are also expected until noon with maximum temperatures of 38 degrees. In the capital, Madrid, the forecast is similar: clear skies until 12:00 and slightly cloudy for the rest of the day, with minimums of 23 degrees and maximums of 38.

AEMET recommends that residents of Las Rozas take extra precautions during the hottest hours, avoid sun exposure during the central hours of the day, stay hydrated, and pay special attention to the elderly and children. The yellow alert does not imply extreme risk, but it does indicate an adverse weather situation that requires vigilance.

For Monday, medium-term forecasts indicate a slight drop in temperatures, although they will remain high for the season. Emergency services remind that in case of any symptoms of heat stroke, one should call 112.
